4th Sapphire Cupcake: [Video / Action for Cianwood] - Backdated to 27 April, early morning
[The feed suddenly clicks on at an ungodly hour of the morning, on a weird angle which shows that it's obviously sitting on the floor and has been accidentally turned on. There are crashes as growling Trapinch dashes past, followed by an annoyed looking Pineco.
The feed shows the two attempting to tackle each other and dodging, hitting furniture and slamming into the walls.
At this point, if anyone is wondering where the heck their owner is, he's dead to the world, snoring on the bed. You can just hear him in the background over the noise these two pokemon are making.
The pair become tangled up in a corner of the blanket which is draped on the floor. Struggling to both get loose, they pull the entire blanket off the bed, dragging three eggs with it.
They hit the ground with a crack and the feed blinds everyone watching with a series brilliant white lights.]
Karp...karp...karp...karp.
Reeeeep, Mareep?
Hor...seaaaaaa.
[The light fades and Spike's three newest pokemon are revealed (well, at least two of them...the Magikarp egg rolled off screen). Spike's Trapinch and Pineco, obviously surprised by this development, immediately start arguing, each blaming the other for what happened.]
What? Who's there?
[Cue their bleary owner, who has finally woken up.]
What the!?! YOU GUYS HATCHED?
[You can see Spike's feet as he hops off the bed, and starts frantically running around the room]
Oh Celestia, whatdoIdowhatdoIdowhatdoIdo???
Okay, stay cool Spike...you can handle this....
Wait, YOU'RE A FISH?!?
[A beat]
Water! I need water!
[Spike's legs race past into the bathroom, and you can hear the water being turned on in the bathtub as he dumps his Magikarp into it.]

voice
[Shinji's muttering becomes less and less audible as he pretty much forgets he was talking to the Pokegear and moves away to discuss the innards of a Pokeball with himself]
Voice
OH CELESTIA! MY HORSEA!
[The feed will show him screeching over to her, hauling her up and running back into the bathroom to drop Horsea into the tub]
[A short time later, after leaving Shinji to discuss pokeballs to himself, Spike comes back to the gear.]
Ahaha thanks for that. Sorry if that woke you up. I don't know how this turned on, although I have a pretty good idea. [He turns to glare at Acorn and Pinchy, who are all of a sudden looking extremely innocent.]
I don't know...I mean, I know you're supposed to keep them in pokeballs, but that seems kind of mean.
Voice
I don't know, I keep the furball out whenever I can [and there's a swii in the background] but he doesn't seem to dislike the Pokeball and in the case of your Pokemon... well, I bet they would prefer being put into Pokeballs over slow and painful death of dehydration... I wonder how long would they be able to survive without water.
Voice
Well...uh...I mean, they're both in water now...so they'll be fine, right?

Jack's Magikarp has learned to mostly keep itself upright at least part of the time, so the feed manages to catch both of them and Patch the Pachirisu.]
Whoa, whoa, calm down. It's not the end of the world. See? [Look, fish, out of water. Not dead. (No matter what his flopping tends to look like.)]
Oh...thank Celestia for that...[Spike breathes a sigh of relief and slows down a little]
Still, better to be on the safe side...[Jack will probably hear him put his horsea in the tub as well. A short while later, he comes back to the feed.]
Thanks for that. Sorry if I woke you. Somepony turned on my gear. [Spike glares at his two oh-so-innocent pokemon playing nicely now in the corner.]
So you have a Magic Carp too? Is it easy to look after?
Somepony? ...I think I met some of your friends already.
Anyway, yeah. His name's Dingle. And, uh... well, I guess he's easy enough. He doesn't do much.
[Allow Dingle to demonstrate. Flop.]
Oh yeah? Who have you met? Almost the whole gang is here, except Fluttershy. But Twilight said she was here for ages, but then she went home before I saw her...
[He examines Dingle with interest]
He looks almost the exact same as mine. Complete with the flopping about.
So, he's okay without water?

He watches for a moment, blinking.]
They look fine to me.

Thanks. I think they're okay. [After dumping both his Magikarp and Horsea in the tub, Spike really hasn't had a chance to inspect his Mareep, and holds a hand out toward it cautiously. She sniffs his hand experimentally.]
Sorry for waking you. I didn't expect them to hatch all at the same time, and I didn't expect my pokegear to be on. [Spike glares at Acorn and Pinchy.]

Nah, my other two pokemon somehow turned it on. [Spike looks around the room, which is looking pretty trashed right about now. He addresses his Trapinch and Pineco who are in the background.]
Don’t tell me you guys were fighting again? [Trapinch just snorts at him. Spike rolls his eyes and mutters under his breath.]
Great. Another mess to clean up. Like I don’t have enough to do already.

sorry, was on hiatus all of June!
i don't have an excuse
aww that's okay!
video
Your Magikarp'll be fine. You should put him and your seahorse in their balls until you find a proper source of water.
video
Sorry for waking you. Someponies were messing about. [Spike shoots a look over to his two 'innocent' pokemon.]
So Magic Carp can live out of water? That's impressive! I thought all fish needed to live in water.
I guess I could, but it just doesn't seem right to keep them all cooped up in there...
video
[Always finding some way to not get overly angry at people, Mayu.]
Some people keep their pokemon in computers too but they don't seem to complain. Maybe the pokeballs were built so the pokemon could feel comfortable inside?
video
So...other people have troublesome pokemon too?
[That would make Spike happy to hear - he was feeling like he was the only one!]
Well...maybe. But if they don't like it, I wont keep them in there. Pinchy definitely doesn't like it...why am I not surprised...
[A beat]
What's a computer?

And so winds up bursting into the bathroom as he's dropping his new Magikarp into the tub, peering at him curiously.]
Spike? What's going- Oh, your Magikarp hatched! Congratulations!
[Action]
Oh Twilight! Yeah...he did...tha...
[Spike pauses as he hears a voice on his pokegear suggest that he put his Horsea in the tub as well, and panics, dashing out of the bathroom].
MY HORSEA!
[He comes running back in, dropping his Horsea into the tub...where she splashes about happily. His Magikarp just sort of...flops about a bit. Spike sinks down to sit on the floor in relief, disaster seemingly averted.]
Sorry you woke up. I didn't expect them all to hatch at the same time!
[Action]
Hey, it happens. Don't worry about it. Did you have Pyrolepi looking after them? She's really good at helping eggs to hatch, especially since she evolved.
And you don't need to worry so much. Pokemon can be surprisingly resilient. I've seen a Magikarp flop around on land for quite some time and be no worse for the wear. That said, I'm pleased you're taking your responsibilities so seriously, not that I'd expect anything less from my number one assistant.

[Spike could have sworn the tub was Jigglypuff free when he dropped Magikarp and Horsea in. Now it was looking a little crowded.]
Wait a sec...is Pinkie around here somewhere?
[Spike cautiously looks around. You never knew with Pinkie Pie.]

[ A splash interrupts her from Spike's end. ]
Yes, I was going to say the tub.
voice
Oh Rarity! Sorry you woke up.
Yeah, he's in the tub now with Horsea. [Spike breathes a sigh of relief.]
They seem to be getting on okay.
