[The feed clicks on to Spike looking cheerful but a little dubious. He's sitting on an already made-bed, surrounded by four large eggs. Luckily his Trapinch is off destroying something else in another room, and his Pineco seemed content to stay sleeping on the window sill.]

Hi, it's Spike here, your friendly neighbourhood dragon.

So, everypony is out working or training right now, and I'm stuck here looking after these eggs.

[Yep, Spike may have gone a little overboard with his egg collecting. So being back at the inn 'egg-sitting' is his own fault really.]

Does anypony know exactly how to look after these guys? [He rubs an imaginary dirt mark off one with the edge of the blanket]

I mean, I'm not supposed to sit on them or anything, right? Coz that would be way too weird.... And Fluttershy went home before I came, so I can't ask her.

[He looks a little concerned now]

If anypony can give me any advice on what I'm supposed to do to hatch eggs, that would be great.

Well - you've just gotta wait. A Pokemon with Flame Body'll speed it up a bit, but you can't really go wrong with them.
[...There's a Servine peering into view slightly. So... she vanished. Fluttershy.
Hhsk. Laguna doesn't notice the Servine, though, and just keeps on talking.]
I'd recommend not going on a journey while you've got a bunch, though. Because, well, you can't carry more then six Pokemon, and eggs count as Pokemon.

[Spike looks a little unnerved when he sees the Servine. He's still not quite used to all these weird looking pokemon.

Well, I'm in an inn at the moment in...Cianwood? I don't think we're going anywhere soon. Why can you only carry six?

You should keep them nice and warm, and wrap them in some soft cloth if you have any. Staying close by also helps.

[Spike does look very young, so even if he is a dragon he can be forgiven for not knowing these things.]

Did you say that you are also a dragon?

[This, Temeraire looks excited about. He hasn't met any other dragons here.]

Hang on, let me just get paper and a quill so I can write this down.

[The feed shifts as Spike reaches over to grab a notebook and pen off the bedside table. The eggs click as his weight moves. Flipping through a couple pages until he reaches a blank one, Spike begins to take notes]

Yeah I am. Well I was before I came here. [He pauses in his writing to inspect his hands again]

Now I just look ridiculous. I mean, how can I call myself a dragon when I don't even have my tail?

[Temeraire wonders how long this other dragon has been here; it couldn't have been too long, and he is privately a little jealous that Spike can write with pens already, when Temeraire's only just started getting good at it. As Spike keeps talking though, he gets more sympathetic.]

It is not easy to get used to, but there is more to being a dragon than having a tail or wings or anything like that, so I think we are both still dragons even if we look like people for now.

I find it's usually pretty easy to let your POKEMON take care of them, if you happen to have any particularly, uh. Maternal ones.

Er...a dratini, a mareeep, a horsea and a magic carp.

I'm actually not familair with a... Mareep, but the others I know of. Horsea and Magikarp are water types, and Dratini is a DRagon type so... Above all try to keep the egg warm and when Magikarp hatches try to have a LOT of trust and understanding with him/her because you really don't want the evolved form mad at you, trust me.

Anyway if you're near a fire when camping or in a Pokemon Center try to be clsoe enough that the egg is warm but not too close that you boil the egg.

Mainly they just need time, but mine usually hatched when I carried them around with me close by. If you're staying somewhere for a while you could try taking turns carrying one egg each whenever you go out. That should speed things up.

I don't worry too much. They're pretty tough. They get harder the longer you carry them. As long as you're not doing anything crazy when you carry them it should be fine.

I can't breathe fire or anything here, so I'm not sure? How warm are humans supposed to be?

Oh, so it's like Rainbow Dash. She said she was a pony before she came here...do you know her?

Um, the average body temperature for a human is about 98 degrees Fahrenheit. Some humans run slightly hotter or colder than others, but anything extending into 100 degrees or below 90 is abnormal.

Ack! Rainbow Dash! You scared me out of my scales! [He pulls her hands off his eyes, turning to look at her.]

You're only joking, right? I don't actually have to sit on them? You're just pulling my tail...right?

[Spike half laughs, really not sure if she's joking or not!]

[As for the everypony thing...well, quirky puns are hardly new to him. Hardly worth commenting on. Though it's a little weird that a dragon would make horse puns.]

You don't have to sit on them though, just keep them warm. Usually I wrap mine in blankets or have one of my more maternal Pokémon look after them.

[He looks over at his Pineco, who is still sleeping at the window, and sighs.]

[ Rarity watches all the answers to Spike's post and quietly takes notes. Some time later she wanders into Spike's room. ]

Well, Spike, you've certainly made a good deal of progress. You're becoming quite the little father!

[Having taken down a lot of notes about how to care for his eggs, Spike has now wrapped them all up in blankets from the bed, and is lounging around peeking at them every so often to make sure they're okay. He jumps, embarrassed when Rarity comes in, and tries to make it look like he totally wasn't watching his eggs.]

Father? Wait, no no no! I'm way too young to be a father! I'm just looking after them until they hatch! You know, like Fluttershy does with all her animals! I wouldn't even know how to be be a father! [Spike is frantically waving his hands in front of him, and talking really fast.]

I mean, that's not to say I wouldn't be a good father, it's just...um...

Everypony is just saying to keep them warm and to walk around with them. That I can do. I was worried it was going to be something really challenging.
